Depart on your flight for Kigali, Rwanda

Day 2:

Kigali, Rwanda

Arrive in Kigali, Rwanda where you will be met by Amahle staff and escorted to your hotel.

Day 3:

Kigali, Rwanda

Optional: After the 1994 genocide left more than one million people dead and countless exiled, the people of Rwanda began picking up the pieces of their broken nation, returning to their fields and businesses and working to support their families.

In order to provide our guests with a better understanding of the breadth of the issues faced by Rwandans after the genocide, Amahle works with a variety of NGOs who specialize in Rwandan microfinance. By partnering with these organizations, we are able to deliver a firsthand experience around how micro lending helps to increase incomes, rural expansion, job creation and holistic transformation.

Or

After a leisurely breakfast, spend the morning visiting the National Genocide Memorial to learn about the history of Rwanda. Following lunch, you will depart for Musanze and enjoy the majestic views of the sun setting over the volcanoes and twin lakes.

Day 4:

Musanze, Rwanda

Depart your hotel at 6am and head to Virunga National Park where you will trek the rainforest for an encounter with the rare silverback gorillas in their natural habitat.

Day 5:

Musanze, Rwanda

Return to Virunga National Park where you will trek the golden
monkeys. Following your trek, you will return to Kigali where you will transfer by private charter to Kogatende in the Serengeti.

Day 6-9:

Serengeti, Tanzania

You will enjoy exceptional game viewing, thrilling night drives, and the warm Maasai culture. During your time here, you’ll participate in traditional game drives and balloon safaris and you will also have the option to be hosted in a custom-designed, fully loaded Photographic Safari Vehicle. These vehicles come equipped with professional-grade Nikon cameras with 600mm lenses; 360-degree swivel chairs and tripods; and the oversight of a professional wildlife photographer.

Day 10-12

Mount Kenya, Kenya

Transfer by private charter to Enasoit Sanctuary, Kenya, situated on the Laikipia Plateau at the foot of Mount Kenya, where you will enjoy all that this authentic lodge has to offer, including spa services, horseback riding, game drives, bush walks and bush dinners. Set within a natural wildlife corridor, Enasoit overlooks a busy wildlife watering hole and is a haven for game watching.  Helicopters can be rented per excursion, or be available on-site during the extent of your stay for airborne safaris and fishing.

Day 13:

Nairobi, Kenya

In the morning, you will depart for Nairobi, Kenya where you will be met at Wilson Airport and taken to the River Café to enjoy lunch in Nairobi’s largest forest. Following lunch you will visit the David Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage, the most successful orphan-elephant rescue and rehabilitation program in the world. Later in the day, you will be transferred to Jomo Kenyatta Airport for your departure back home.
